There is no need to glue the first course; however, subsequent courses will be glued together. Constructing BBQ Islands are relatively simple for the Do-it-yourselfer; however elaborate projects may require electricity, water hook-up, drain lines and natural gas for grills, sinks, and refrigerators, so other trades most likely will be involved.
